Project Integration Management
Project Integration management identify,combine,unify and co-ordinate project management processes and activities with the five process groups. Project integration management is where project manager have huge task where this knowledge area does connect with all other knowledge area.
The primary concern of project integration management is to integrate the process with process groups to achieve project objectives.
According to PMBOK 5. Project integration management works with certain set of process. where as in real time projects, there is possibility of interacting from the way that has been mentioned in PMBOK 5
In Standard Terms, Project Integration management includes unification, consolidation, communication and integrative actions that are crucial to complete the project meeting requirements and stakeholder's expectation.

Develop Project Charter :
In this process, Project manager develops a document that formally authorizes the existence of a project and gives the project manager an authority to use organisational asset to perfect project start with project boundaries. This process also records every thing as a formal record.
Develop Project Management Plan :
In this process, Project manager defines, prepares and co-ordinates all the plans and integrate in to a comprehensive project management plan which acts as central document for all the work involved in the project
Direct and manage project work :
In this process, Project manager leads and performs the work defined in the project management plan and approves changes to achieve the project goals and objectives. This process manages the project work
Monitor and control project work :
This process helps to track, review, and report the progress to meet the performance objectives as defined in project management plan. This process also helps the stakeholders to understand the current state of project, limitations, budget, scope, steps taken and schedule of the project.
Perform Integrated Change Control :
This process reviews all the change requests, approves rejects the changes or modifications to project documents, deliverables, baselines or project management plan.
Close project or phase :
This process formally brings all the project activities to an end and completes the project or phase and release the organisational resources for other projects. This process provides the guidance and lessons learned in the project.
